Long-line waistcoats are such a useful piece of clothing to have in your wardrobe.
They offer great coverage, as well as a welcome layer of warmth.
They can also ground an outfit by adding a darker tone (or a neutral) into a colourful look.
And...
They don't swamp your style, like a full-sleeve cardigan can.
A 'proper' cardigan can easily hide the details of your outfit, and spoil your layering efforts.
A waistcoat offers the coverage (and the warmth) without stealing the show.
What's not to love about that?
I am a BIG fan of knitted waistcoats so when the lovely people at Cosy Cashmere contacted me to ask if I would feature one of their products I was happy to agree.
A great coverup, and in cashmere too....that gets a big thumbs up from me!
I chose this olive brown cashmere waistcoat because it is a very versatile colour, and works well as a cosy layer over a combination of two dresses.
Adding a fun necklace, and leopard platform heels, stopped things getting too serious!
A tweed bag and fun beret finished things off nicely.
