First and foremost...It Snowed.
Yes!

Winter, here in my corner of the globe, has been quite mild and a bit wet.
Sure, there have been plenty of cold and crisp days, which are lovely...
But no snow.

I've been longing for a dusting of the white stuff, and yesterday the snow finally fell.
Not a lot, but enough to cheer up a winter's day and to lift my spirits.

All held together by an "Of course they go together!" attitude.

It's blowing a hoolie out there!

I may have managed to get my layers to lie flat for a moment BUT, as my hair visibly confirms, there was a strong wind here in Scotland a few days ago (when I took these photos).
This mild winter's day had a fresh sting in its tail.
Cool but not too cold.
All cobwebs were blown into next week!

Layers were the order of the day.
No surprise there!
The need for layers is a given in winter.
In fact, it's the same for most days, regardless of the season!

A typical mixed bag of Scottish delights.
{No snow though 😞.}

Despite the lack of snow, plenty of scarves, hats and cosy layers have been featuring in my looks.
Somedays I've even needed the added boost of a bright lippy to see me through the day.

Many items are going to friends (if they'll fit and/or suit them) and to charity BUT the close-to-my-heart, super-special items (that won't suit friends) are heading to eBay.
Simply because I can't bear to see them bagged up and sent into the unknown.
I need to know that someone has searched, found and wanted them.
Off to a new home to be loved again.
Sustainable fashion at it's best!

Call me a sentimental fool but I do get a bit attached to certain items... especially those one-of-a-kind pieces.
Vintage knits, coats and shoes especially.
I find it hard to say goodbye.
